Stayed at Boparai Homestay for 2 nights on 18th and 19th March. The location, edge of a hill overlooking Solan valley, is it’s USP. Nice and clean property which is just 1.5 hours drive from Chandigarh. The hosts were very courteous. I went with my wife and daughter and would highly appreciate Boparai’s homestay.

If you love to relax at a peaceful and beautiful place then Barog is the perfect place to go. In the morning you will see the mesmerizing sunrise from your room and balcony . You just have to sit out side and enjoy the scenic beauty, glimpse of toy train going on the trail.

Barog Camp & Boparai Home Stay is a nice place in Barog residential area. This has a open parking area near the main building. A lawn outside is perfect for the evening sit out & watch the Solan valley & the Shimla highway. It has a drawing room with a tv & a nice & comfy sofa cum bed big enough for two adults. It has two bed rooms with attached bathrooms divided by the kitchen & dining area. The only drawback is the access to the drawing room / lawn from kitchen or the second bed room is through the first bedroom. I understand this ia being taken care of by the owner Mr. Boparai. Bina, the female help there is very well mannered & professional. Food, veg or non veg is cooked as per requirement & taste informed in advance. Perfect for upto 6 persons.. a large family or two small families.

Visited in end of February. The rooms have outstanding views which cannot be described but only be experienced. The food was very delicious and the staff and the owners were so friendly and eager to help on any request. Enjoyed going on long walks amidst the nature far away from the crowds. The panoramic view takes your breath away. Barog Camps gives a complete chance to be close to nature.

Situated on the slope of a hill, the cottage affords a panoramic and unhindered view of the Solan valley and city. It is surrounded by pine trees and is peaceful and quiet. You can actually hear a pin drop. The cottage itself has well-furnished rooms with facilities to make your stay comfortable. There’s a functional kitchen which allows you to cook, that is to say, if you fancy staying for a long time. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearby small market that has some restaurants and grocery stores. You can go for a hike in the wilderness and breathe fresh air and smell pine trees. A perfect getaway for a city slicker. There’s a caretaker who stays close to the cottage. So, I had my morning tea and bonfire in the evening sorted. What more can one ask for? I stayed here for 3 days in Dec 2016 and went back to my busy city life feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
